E-TRANSACTIONS COMMITTEE HOLDS ITS FIRST MEETING FOR THIS YEAR AND REVIEWS A REPORT OF ITS ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 1432/1433

Chaired by His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren and with the attendance of the e-transaction committee’s members, the first meeting of the committee was held in the conference room of the Rector. The achievements report was reviewed during the meeting for the last academic year 1432/1433 from 1/11/1432 to 13/11/1433. The committee was formed based on a decree by the Rector No. 115 dated on 1/11/1432 with 8 members. The number of meetings for this committee reached 11 meetings.

Among the most important achievements for this committee for the academic year 1432/1433 are:

1.   Recommendation to endorse the partnership between the university and the Saudi Telecommunication Company.

2.   Recommendation to endorse the project of Bone Back for network.

3.   Recommendation to endorse the project of operating, maintaining and developing the e-portal.

4.   Recommendation to endorse the project technical support and customer service (operating maintenance) for the computers and servers of the university.

5.   Recommendation to endorse the project video conference which is compatible with the Higher Education system to link the site via video network.

6.   Recommendation to endorse the project of Backup system.

7.   Recommendation to endorse the project of SharePoint Service & SharePoint server for PMO.

8.   Recommendation to add the following strategic objective (the plan to shift all the university transactions to be electronic and match with the e-transactions program “Yusr”.”

9.   Recommendation to assess, activate and update the administrative and financial system ERP.

10.               Recommendation to finish keying the administrative and financial data ERP.

11.               Recommendation to follow up the availability of inquiring about (job information- salary- allowances- holidays) for the university staff through the system ERP.

12.               Recommendation to allow the issue of statistic reports about the university staff (faculty member, staff and students).

13.               Recommendation to provide specialist trainers in the Deanship of IT for the university programs and systems.

14.               Studying the project (business intelligence solutions system).

15.               Studying the project (Data Center Development).

16.               Studying the project (learning management system) in the university.

17.               Studying the project (Administrative communication and e-archive as well as workflow procedures).

18.               Studying the project (providing monitors for show in the university branches).
