BEST SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AWARD

In a sign of distinction and proof of hard work, Mr. Abdurrahman Al-Rabiean- a Saudi scholarship researcher doing his Ph.D. in the field of Information Security and Digital Detection at the University of Plymouth, London- has received the best Associate Research Award in a conference about digital detection of a Cyber Incident in 2016 in London.

The research is concerned with connecting activities of the computer users on their devices with their biological characteristics such as facial features etc. for investigation in case of an information breach incident.

The research aims to develop a software that saves user information characteristics for future reference during breach queries. The software may help digital detectives in their cases of information hacking or digital crimes.

Dr. Hisham Al-Sagheer-Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information technology-congratulated Mr. Rabiean for the award on behalf of all the faculty members. Mr. Rabiean in turn responded by thanking the Dean of the College for his ongoing support and appreciation.
