 In an attempt to achieve quality in the standards of safety and occupational health at Majmaah University facilities, the General Administration for Occupational Health and Environment carried out a workshop to evaluate the first operational stage of the system of e-security and environmental safety at the University laboratories. The stages will be executed through several projects in collaboration with a few related departments.

The first stage is concerned with electronic locks and control of the internal air quality. This system will be implemented by the university in partnership with a number of recognized world bodies in this regard.

The Vice-rector of Majmaah University, Dr. Mosallam Al Dosari pointed out “This workshop is one of a series of training sessions within an integrated program that aims to achieve the aspirations of the University in 2020 to become a safer educational environment conducive to excellence and creativity.” Furthermore, he stressed that the General Administration for Occupational health and Environment undertakes part of the project in addition to some other departments on campus. Dr. Dosary made it clear that Majmaah University President expects that this leading project run smoothly and efficiently.

Dr. Dosari pointed up that the stages of the E-security training system will include all colleges of the university as well as the research centers, services and medical facilities. “We hope we can control all factors affecting occupational safety at the University in order to achieve the desired development,” Dr. Dosari added. Then the attendants went on a tour and reviewed the completed parts in the system at the main campus. They expressed their admiration for the achievements of the first stage. Several observations related to the development of the program were discussed during the visitors’ tour.
