THE UNIVERSITY RECEIVES THANKS FROM HIS HIGHNESS THE MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION FOR ITS EFFORTS IN THE PREPARATION OF A STUDY ON THE EXTENT TO WHICH UNIVERSITIES CAN CONTRIBUTE IN THE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT

His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren received thanks from His Highness the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Angari for the University efforts in the preparation of a study that focuses on the contribution of newly established universities in the local development from all its aspects (social, economic, cultural, health and working labor). His Highness the Minister of Higher Education praised the efforts exerted by the University research team. In coordination with other colleges in the various regions and on a several stages, a number of opened meetings were conducted with officials of local community in Al-Majmaah, Zulfi, Ghat, Rumah and Rawdat Sudair. Dr. Mansour Al-Dwaihi, Head of the research team, run the first meeting in Majmaah with the presence of Dr. Abdelaziz Al-Omran. The Second meeting was run by Dr.Nasser Al-Jarrallah in Zulfi with the presence of the Education College Dean in Zulfi, Dr. Abdullah Al-Swaikit and His Excellency the governor of Zulfi region, Mr. Zaid Bin Mohammad Al-Hussein.  Dr. Ibraheem Al-Lehydan ran the third meeting in Ghat with the presence of the Dean of Science and Humanities College in Ghat Dr. Abdelaziz Al-Harrah. The fourth meeting was run in Rumah by Dr. Khalid Al-Shafi with the presence of the Dean of Science and Humanities College Dr. Sa’ad Al-Homood. Dr. Omer Al-Sharufi ran the fifth meeting in Hawtat Sudair with the Dean of Science and Humanities College in Hawtat Sudair Dr. Tareq Al-Bahlal and the Head of Hawtat Sudair Center Mr. Fahad Bin Saleh Al-Zakri. All the meetings included a discussion on the contribution of newly established universities in the local development. His Highness the Rector extended his thanks and appreciations to His Highness the Minister of Higher Education for his compliments which regarded as a reward for the efforts exerted by officials in this university. This as a result would encourage officials in the University to double their efforts in providing multiple services to the community.
