A new achievement was made by MU via a new invention in mechanical engineering that serves the society. The invention, which was registered under a number of faculty members of Majmaah University, was granted a patent by KACST. The invention made a breakthrough in the field of oil and natural gas. A number of papers have been published based on this invention such as : : Effect of Specimen Geometry on the Predicted Mechanical Behavior of Polyethylene Pipe Material Proceedings of the ASME 2014 Pressure Vessels & Piping Division / K-PVP Conference PVP 2014 July 20-24. This invention is attributed at the first place to the consistent and unconditional support of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugrin.
