MU ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY WELCOMES VISITORS FROM TAIWAN

The MU Astronomical Observatory (AO) in Hawtat Sudair welcomed a delegation from Taiwan, headed by the representative of Taiwan in Saudi ArabiaProf. Ibrahim Tiang. The delegation included Huan Tian Wai, Professor of Electronic Engineering at Taiwan University and Researcher in astronomical observatory, Mr. Mousa Mashan.
The visit took place in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Al-Salman from the United Nations Office and Mr. Abdullah Al-Salman.
Welcomed by the Director of AO, Mr. Abdullah Al-Khudairi and a number of staff, the visit featured a tour to the astronomical dome and inclinometer instrument- designed by the AO- as well as other astronomical devices such as telescopes, shadow directions and Kiblah.
The delegation also visited the astronomical exhibition who were impressed with the pictures of moons and venues, in particular.
