DR. SHUSHAH SELECTED AS A FIRST GCC MEMBER IN THE SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE OF NMO

Professor of Neurology and Consultant of Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis at MU Dr. Islam Shushah, has been selected as a member in the international committee of Neuromyelits Optica (NMO) in recognition for his clinical and research contributions in fighting this disease.
Prof. Shushah has published several papers that propose the treatment of NMO during pregnancy and describe the clinical and indicative symptoms of anti-MoG.
Prof. Shushah who attended the first meeting of the committee in California, USA, said the committee’s major aim is to examine the disease and suggest the best practices of diagnosing and treating the disease.
This is another major achievement for MU at the regional level, and the flag of Saudi Arabia was among the participant countries.
