Traffic

 

This department strives to achieve a number of objectives according to the power and specializations issued from His Excellency the Rector. It intends to determine the university needs for all types of transportation along with their needs as well as providing them and distributing them according to a well-designed plans with the participation of the Purchase Department and Warehouse Department.

Moreover, the department also is obligated to follow-up the operation and maintenance of all the university cars and to provide all the needs including spare parts, hydrocarbons, oil, etc.  The contractor is obligated to set a deal with petrol stations in Zulfi, Ghat, Remah, and Hawtat Sudair.

A visit has also been made to officials at the Traffic Department in Riyadh to coordinate about using the new e-services of registering new cars. Authorization was given to register vehicles electronically and immediately after the vehicles is handed to the user.

The Traffic Department includes:

Transportation

This department intends to achieve its objectives according to the power and specializations issued by His Excellency the Rector. Since the establishment, the department strives to provide buses to commute female students from and to their accommodations. The department has employed supervisors in various colleges to monitor drivers via certain mechanisms. This will provide students and staff with the best quality of services, irrespective of their locations, which will consequently contribute in the progress of the educational process in accordance with the directives of the Rector. The department also sets the routes that the buses will take prior the beginning of study. All obstacles that may hinder the success of the project including lack of buses or drivers were resolved.

Providing buses has contributed in serving students who reside within the educational map of the university. Moreover, coordination has been made with the IT Deanship to create an e-program for the project along with an e-system for printing out a daily report of presence as well as issuing cards for students who are making use of the system. Buses have also been provided to faculty members and students during ceremonies, occasions, visits, internship at hospitals and medical centers.
