Overview of the unit

Information and data in our world becomes indispensable for making decisions at academic and administrative levels due to the massive revolution in the field of information and technology. Therefore, the deputyship for graduate studies and scientific research attempted to establish a database that includes the achievements and works of the deanships, administrations and units attached to the deputyship over the last five years. The database shall be updated on regular basis to meet the requirements of the administration of the university.

Planning and Development Department

- To develop the working procedures of the unit constantly and design the used forms- To promote the culture of quality in the unit- To provide assistance and facilitation to the working teams assigned for quality application- To collect data and information about the quality activities in the unit- To write periodical reports about the performance and the beneficiary satisfaction in every activity of the unit- To identify the weakness, strength, opportunities and challenges in the administrative system- To review and evaluate the work of the unit departments 

Statistical Processing Department

1. to carry out analytical and statistical studies to identify statistical indicators to be used for making appropriate decisions.2. To establish and develop statistical database about the various sectors in the vice-rectorate to achieve the required works easily3. To publish and exchange data and information related to the annual reports of the vice-rectorate which includes the vice-rectorate annual achievements4. To make a list of all the university library’s books, references, journals and periodical, classify them and show the percentage of borrowing5.

Reports Writing Department

- To prepare and write the annual reports about the works and achievements of the vice-rectorate- To prepare the annual reports about the works and achievements of the unit- To review and edit all the annual reports issued from the deanships, administrations and units attached to the vice-rectorate 

Reports and Statistics Affairs Committee

- To propose or modify the general policy of the unit and follow-up its implementation after being approved- To follow-up the unit works and approved them according to the regulation.- To set and approve the development and quality plans of the unit- To propose the internal regulation of the unit in coordination with the supervisor.- To set the general framework of the strategic and executive plan for the unit- To evaluate the unit performance on regular basis- To follow-up and implement the recommendations issued from the committee 

The supervisor of the unit

- Applying the regulations of the university with regard to the reports and statistics unit- Supervising the departments attached to the unit- Preparing for the sessions of the reports and statistics committee- Communicating with deanships and departments with regard to the affairs and requirements of the unit.- Writing the minute of the reports and statistics committee
