About Program
The Department of Radiological Sciences and Medical Imaging prepares students to practice as medical imaging technologists in healthcare settings with an awareness of global health issues. The academic and clinical components of the curriculum aim to develop graduates with adaptable professionalism, capable of fulfilling their roles and responsibilities after graduation in both practical and academic fields, while also contributing to scientific research internationally.
Program Aims to:
- Graduate highly competent professionals in medical imaging.
- Develop students’ clinical skills.
- Graduate specialized technologists in the field of medical imaging.
- Prepare students to pursue postgraduate programs related to the specialty.
Employment in hospitals and health centers as specialists in:
- Diagnostic Radiography.
- Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging.
- Diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT).
- Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
- Nuclear Medicine.
- Radiation Therapy.
- Academic careers in universities.
- An applicant must have a Saudi Secondary School Certificate - Science Section (SSSCSS) or its equivalent. The secondary school certificate should not be more than five years old. The Rector of MU may grant an exemption from this condition.
- An applicant must have an Aptitude Test Certificate (ATC) administered by the National Center for Assessment in Higher Education. The minimum qualifying scores for the SSSCSS and ATC tests are a total equivalent percentage of 75% (based on 30% from the SSSCSS, 30% from the ATC, and 40% from the cumulative basic Science of SSSCSS).
- An applicant must not have been dismissed from another university for disciplinary reasons.
- Priority is given to those with higher grades. When applicants exceed availability.
