Overview

The program aims to prepare competencies in Management and Leadership in Nursing field through an educational environment supportive of scientific research and community service to cope with the evolution of health care systems and technique. The program Has obtained the full accreditation from the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) in 1446 AH.

Objectives

  1. Use of the analytical tools to conduct basic and applied research in nursing management.
  2. Acquisitions of learning skills and ability to apply them in nursing management and leadership to improve health care systems.
  3. Use and develop nursing theories in problem-solving nursing management.
  4. Able to positively impact on the society to develop ethical, economic, and environmental skills.

    • Instructor: Teaching nursing students and conducting research.
    • Research Scientist: Leading or contributing to clinical and healthcare-related research projects.
  2. Healthcare Systems and Hospitals
    • Nurse Educator: Designing and implementing educational programs for nursing staff.
    • Nurse Administrator/Executive: Taking on leadership roles within hospitals, healthcare systems, or public health agencies.
  3. Government and Public Health
    • Public Health Nurse: Working with government agencies to shape health policies, improve public health outcomes, and address community health needs.
    • Health Policy Analyst: Using research and data to influence healthcare policy and reforms.
  4. Leadership and Administration
    • Director of Nursing: Overseeing nursing staff, developing policies, and ensuring quality care in a healthcare facility.

Requirements

  1. The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a Saudi university or another recognized university (an official equivalency certificate is required if the degree is from a non-Saudi university).
  2. Submission of the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates.
  3. Submission of a standardized English language proficiency test.
  4. Submission of two academic recommendation letters from professors who have previously taught the applicant.
  5. Payment of a non-refundable application fee of 150 SAR.
  6. Submission of the Certificate of Completion of the Internship Year.
  7. Submission of  proof of passing the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) examination.
