Overview

The Arabic Language Program aims to prepare graduates who are linguistically and professionally qualified, enabling them to contribute scientifically and academically to the advancement of society and meet its needs in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Objectives

  1. Graduating distinguished specialists in Arabic language sciences and literature.
  2. Qualifying graduates to compete in the scientific and research fields in alignment with Vision 2030 goals.
  3. Enhancing and advancing scientific research in Arabic language sciences and literature.

Requirements

  1. The student must hold a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification from inside or outside the Kingdom.
  2. The high school diploma or equivalent must have been obtained within the past five years. However, the University Council may grant exceptions if there are compelling reasons.
  3. The student must have good conduct and behavior.
  4. The student must be medically fit.
  5. If employed, the applicant must obtain approval from their employer, whether in the government or private sector.
  6. The student must successfully pass any exams or personal interviews required by the University Council.
  7. The student must meet any additional requirements set by the University Council, which will be announced at the time of application.
  8. The applicant must not have been dismissed from another university for disciplinary or academic reasons. If it is later discovered that the applicant had been previously dismissed, their acceptance will be canceled retroactively.
  9. A student dismissed from a university for academic reasons may be accepted into certain programs that do not grant bachelor's degrees, subject to approval by the University Council or its delegates. However, they cannot enroll in the transfer program.
  10. Holders of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent are not eligible to pursue another bachelor's degree, except with special approval from the university president.
  11. A student already enrolled in another university program at any level —whether at the same university or another institution— cannot be accepted.
