Social Responsibility Observatory organizes Community Event for World Crafts Day

The Social Responsibility Observatory organized a community event in celebration of the World Day for Cultural Diversity and Traditional Crafts through a session titled "Craftsmanship in the Saudi Family: From Heritage to Empowerment and Development." The event aimed to highlight the role of traditional crafts in preserving national identity while promoting the economic and social empowerment of Saudi families.

The session was presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Da'ajani, Advisor for Endowments and Social Responsibility and Assistant Professor of Educational Administration and Planning, and moderated by Dr. Doaa Al-Hazmi, Supervisor of the Family, Childhood, and Community Health Center.

The discussion explored the significance of traditional crafts within Saudi identity and family life, their contribution to economic and social empowerment, and their alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and sustainable development goals. The session also highlighted Saudi handicrafts as a valuable cultural and creative heritage and examined the future of traditional crafts in the era of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
