The Social Responsibility Observatory, represented by the Family, Childhood, and Community Health Center, organized a community awareness session titled "How Do We Guide Our Children in Using Social Media Applications?" The event aimed to raise parents' awareness of safe and responsible digital practices for children.
The session was presented by RanaAl-Sultan, Lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood Education, and moderated by Dr. Doaa Al-Hazmi, Supervisor of the Family and Childhood Center. Many educators, parents, and individuals interested in family and child development attended the event.
The discussion covered several key topics, including children's experiences in the digital world, the psychological and social effects of social media use, and the vital role families play in guiding children toward responsible and balanced use of digital technologies.
The session sought to strengthen digital awareness among families and equip parents with practical strategies for addressing the challenges associated with children's use of social media, contributing to a safer and healthier digital environment for young users.
