CIFAL Saudi concludes the “SDGs 2030 Applications Expert” Program in Collaboration with the Eastern Province Municipality

CIFAL Saudi, in collaboration with the Eastern Province Municipality, concluded the specialized training program titled “SDGs 2030 Applications Expert,” delivered to municipal leadership. The program aimed to empower participants to practically apply sustainability concepts and develop effective development initiatives that support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and enhance institutional performance across various sectors.

The program focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of development concepts and the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), linking them to national frameworks. Key topics included concepts of development and sustainability and related challenges; the SDGs—concept and impact; alignment between the SDGs and Saudi Vision 2030; the Kingdom’s achievements in this field; as well as sustainability reports, their importance, and impact measurement mechanisms.

The “SDGs 2030 Applications Expert” program is the only specialized program of its kind dedicated to qualifying national talents to effectively implement SDG concepts. It equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to translate these concepts into development initiatives with tangible impact, contributing to the achievement of Vision 2030 goals and enhancing institutional performance. The program also serves as a key requirement for those seeking to fulfill the requirements for obtaining an accredited fellowship in this field.

The closing ceremony was attended by Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, Vice Rector for Development and Investment and Supervisor of CIFAL Saudi, who expressed his appreciation for the participants’ efforts, commitment, and excellence. He emphasized that national competencies are a fundamental pillar in achieving institutional sustainability and creating positive, lasting impact.
