Vice Rector for Educational Affairs Visits the Zulfi College of Science

 

 

In attempt to follow-up on the progress of the first semester's final exams processes at the University's various colleges, the Vice Rector for Educational Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Romaih, visited the Zulfi College of Science, and was greeted by the Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Aboudi, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Wael bin Hamoud Al Al-Turaiqi, the College's heads of departments, and a number of faculty members. Dr. Romaih checked the Measurement Unit's work and the College's testing rooms, and was reassured after checking on the progress of exams at the College. He also met some of the College's students and asked them about their suggestions and opinions about the exams. Moreover, the Head of the Measurement Unit, Dr. Ibrahim Shaarani, briefed the Vice Rector on the Unit's working process and procedures, as well as the Unit's new electronic experimental method of automating and digitizing all exam related work in the College through the electronic system, which manages the conduct and progress of final exams in the College.

The system was developed by the Unit, which took advantage of the electronic cloud feature resulting in an improved performance and quality. The Vice-Rector expressed his admiration of this system, and supported the idea of utilizing it in the rest of the colleges at the University. He also discussed the Unit's work and statistics with its members, and was reassured by the accuracy of its performance, and extended his thanks to all members of the Unit for their outstanding efforts. Then, Dr. Al-Rumaih moved to the College Quality and Academic Accreditation Center to follow-up on the College's overall quality related achievements to make sure everything is in accordance with the National Commission for Assessment and Accreditation. He also viewed the assessment and accreditation file and its management at the institutional level. After that, the quality coordinators in the College's various programs explained to the Vice-rector the quality system was established in the College, as well as the College's vision in the developmental project, and the most important accreditation and quality related achievements in the College. Finally, The vice-rector paid a visit to the College's labs and viewed their recent equipment, which are all due to the generous support of HE the University Rector. The Vice Rector praised all of the College's quality related work, and commended the Unit for all of its achievements during this period. Then, he extended his thanks to the Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Aboudi, and the team for their efforts in preparing and qualifying the College for the National Commission for Assessment and Accreditation's visit. At the end of the meeting, the Dean extended his thanks to the Vice Rector for Educational Affairs on this visit, and his keen interest and passion, as well as his direct follow-up on the process of achieving academic accreditation.
