Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs: Improving and updating Study Programs is an indispensable requirement for excellence

Within the framework of the ongoing follow-up carried out by Office of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs to check the progress of its units, the Study Programs and Development Department, organized a workshop entitled: “ The development of study programs: implications of modern scientific trends and regional and international changes on the development of plans and study programs”. Patronized by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Romaih, and in the presence of heads of the said units at colleges, the workshop was initiated by a welcoming speech delivered by the Vice-Rector for the Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Romaih and stressed that as developing and updating the study programs is a prerequisite for any university that is concerned to excel in the performance and quality of their plans, we are determined to review our plans on regular basis. The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Romaih praised the Rector, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al Muqrin’s support for all the efforts seeking to realize the university’s vision and mission. The supervisor of the Office of the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Essam bin Sharaf al-Maliki - chairman of the workshop, stated that the workshop’s themes included: identifying the importance of developing and updating study programs , the principles and standards of developing the university study programs, and the role of the Unit of Plans and Study Programs in light of the new changes and challenges. During the workshop, the Supervisor of the Academic Program Management and Development for the Vice-Rector’s Office, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Qawasmi, reviewed the vision of the Vice-Rector’s Office for Academic Affairs which aims to raise the efficiency of these units as well as activating their contribution in achieving the university’s goals. Experiences and feedback were shared in the workshop along with some Practical experiences. This workshop is part of a series of workshops organized by the Vice-Rectors' Office for Educational Affairs, which aimed to communicate directly with the departments and their subordinate units in order to enhance the efficiency of work performance based on the highest standards and best Practices.
