Academic Plans and Programs Unit in the University vice Presidency for Educational Affairs Holds aTraining Session in Alzulfi

 

 

 

According to the directions of the University vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, the unit of Academic Plans and Programs (that is an affiliation with the university vice presidency for educational affairs) in co-operation with the Deanship of Quality and Skills Improvement conducted an introductory workshop entitled "Academic Plans: Mechanisms, Quality and Experiments" on Thursday 27/11/1434 in Alzulfi Colleges Complex. This workshop was organized by Faculty of Education and Faculty of Sciences in Alzulfi. The target of this workshop were faculties vice Deans for educational affairs, committees of academic plans and the teaching staff in Faculties of Dentistry, Sciences and Education. The guests were received and welcomed at the theater of Colleges Complex at 10:00 am. Afterwards, the workshop discussed a number of axes including an overview on the academic plans and programs unit, its objectives, missions and executive members. This axe was presented by his Excellency the supervisor of the unit of academic programs and plans Dr. Tawfeek Alkanhal. This was followed by a thorough announcement about the mechanisms of preparing the academic plans, the steps of approving them and the documents needed for requesting the approval form of the plan from the University vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, and this was presented by Dr. Abdulrahman Alqawasmi. Afterwards, the member of Deanship of Quality Dr. Mohammad Jazar presented an adequate and sufficient explanation of the good impact of preparing the program description and the description of curricula that is based upon the quality of academic plan. Consequently, this will guarantee the great outcomes of learning and being suitable for the references and description of the program and curricula. Then, Ms Khadeejah Alzahrani presented a detailed explanation of the components of the academic plan including the requirements, the system of counting the credit hours and precision in coding curricula. The meeting was ended with an open discussion where the committee received the questions and comments of the attendees.
