MU PARTICIPATES IN THE “NAFSA 2026” CONFERENCE

MU participated in the NAFSA 2026 Conference and Exhibition, held in Orlando, Florida, USA, from May 26–29, 2026. This participation is part of the university's international and academic engagement at the Saudi pavilion under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and with the participation of the General Secretariat of the Council of Universities Affairs.

MU's section featured featured modern presentation tools and digital brochures to showcase the integrated services provided to international students, highlight achievements in innovation and scientific research, and serve Saudi coffeeto visitors.

The Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shehri, attended the official opening of the Ministry of Education and General Secretariat of the Council of Universities Affairs pavilion, inaugurated under the patronage of the Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Universities Affairs, Prof. Hani bin Mohammed Choudhry, in the presence of the Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Washington, Prof. Tahani bint Abdulaziz Al-Baiz.

As part of strengthening international collaboration, MU's delegation engaged in extensive strategic activities during the exhibition. The Vice Rector conducted a series of important meetings and bilateral discussions to explore cooperation opportunities and strengthen academic partnerships.

Among the most notable meetings were:

  • A Meetings with NAFSA representatives and several American universities.
  • A meeting with San Ignacio University, where the Vice Rector discussed with the University’s founder and Chairman, Mr. Raul Terry, opportunities for collaboration in academic programs and knowledge exchange.
  • A meeting with the University of Central Florida, where the Vice Rector discussed with Vice President for Global Affairs, Dr. Natalie Fiano, research partnerships and joint program development.

These efforts and productive meetings manifests the University’s commitment to advancing the internationalization of Saudi higher education and creating sustainable opportunities in scientific research, innovation, student mobility, and knowledge exchange, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
