MU RECTOR LAUNCHES THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW TEACHING HOSPITAL WITH FOUNDATION STONE CEREMONY - المستشفى الجامعي

MU Rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, launched the construction of the University Hospital project by laying the foundation stone. The project is being developed through an investment partnership with Rakaez International for Commercial Services, in the presence of its Chairman, Mr. Youssef Al-Saleem.

The hospital will be built on a 100,000-square-meter site, with a total built-up area of approximately 57,000 square meters. The design features two interconnected buildings, each comprising a basement, a ground floor, and three upper floors. The facility will open with a capacity of 150 beds, with room for expansion as future needs arise.

The project includes the establishment of several specialized departments, including orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, urology, family medicine, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatrics. Additional medical specialties will also be introduced to strengthen the university’s healthcare ecosystem and enhance services across the region.

This new hospital represents a significant step in the University’s ongoing efforts to expand its healthcare infrastructure, support medical education, and serve the wider community.
