Under the patronage of Prof. Mohammed Al-Aboudi, Vice Rector for Educational Affairs, MU celebrated World Diabetes Day 2025 with the opening of a campus-wide awareness exhibition. The event was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in collaboration with health colleges, central student clubs, and clinical facilities. Held in the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences Building on November 14, the exhibition aimed to highlight the nature of diabetes, its types, methods of prevention and treatment as well as practical health tips such as regular exercise and healthy eating.

Diabetes occurs when blood sugar levels rise above normal. If left unmanaged, this can your heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, and nerves.

World Diabetes Day also emphasizes the family’s vital role in recognizing early warning signs, encouraging early diagnosis, and promoting health education that helps prevent the disease and reduce its complications.
