RIYADH GOVERNOR PATRONIZES MU'S GRADUATION CEREMONY

Under the patronage of the Governor of Riyadh, Prince Faisal bin Bandar Al Saud, Majmaah University (MU) held its 16th graduation ceremony for the academic year 1446 on Thursday. The event was attended by the University Rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, vice-rectors, public sector officials, deans, and students’ guardians.

In his address, Prof. Al-Mezal welcomed the audience and expressed his appreciation to the ceremony’s sponsor, whose presence reflects the leadership’s ongoing support for education. He congratulated the graduates and expressed hope that they would contribute significantly to the nation’s development.

Prof. Al-Mezal emphasized the importance of this occasion as a milestone in the students' lives, celebrating the fruits of their hard work over the years. He affirmed the university’s commitment to continuing on this path in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

He also highlighted the government's support for education and reviewed several recent university achievements, including the renewal of full institutional accreditation and the accreditation of numerous academic programs.

In a speech, Dr. Nasser Al-Othman, Dean of Admissions and Registration, announced that 6,077 male and female students graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees from various colleges and departments.

Graduates were addressed with words of encouragement and appreciation, with thanks extended to their parents and faculty members for their support throughout the educational journey.

On behalf of the graduating class, student Bader Al-Jubairy delivered a thank-you speech, expressing gratitude to the university’s rector and faculty for their guidance and support, which culminated in this significant achievement.

A documentary film was then shown, highlighting the journeys of the graduates and their contributions to national development and the realization of Saudi Vision 2030. The film showcased their work across various fields in both public and private sectors. Following the film, graduates from the College of Medicine took the professional oath in celebration of their graduation.

Prince Faisal bin Bandar, the ceremony’s sponsor, then inaugurated the University Investment Hospital and the CIFAL Center.

Attendees also watched a short documentary spotlighting Majmaah University’s leading role in advancing Saudi Vision 2030 by expanding access to higher education. The film illustrated the university’s efforts to provide educational opportunities for female students in remote areas by facilitating their transport to university campuses.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to outstanding students, the presentation of a commemorative gift to Prince Faisal bin Bandar, and group photos with top graduates.
