MU CONCLUDES SPECIALIZED TRAINING FOR MINISTRY OF INTERIOR EMPLOYEES LED BY THE VICE-RECTOR FOR DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTMENT

At the request of MU Rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, the specialized training program delivered to employees of the Ministry of Interior was concluded in the presence of Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, the Vice-Rector for Development and Investment and Board Member of CIFAL Saudi Arabia and Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Zahrani, the Director of the Ministry’s Training Department.

In his remarks during the closing ceremony, Prof. Al-Dosari pointed out that offering such programs aligns with the university’s strategic goal of empowering leadership in government development sectors. This is achieved by delivering specialized, accredited training programs through CIFAL Saudi Arabia, in partnership with relevant entities.

The ceremony marked the conclusion of the "Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 Applications Expert" program, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Deputy Ministry for Regional Affairs. The program targeted Assistant Undersecretaries for Development Affairs in regional governorates and focused on deepening their understanding of development-related concepts related to the SDGs in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Participants explored a wide range of key topics, including: concepts of development, sustainability, and sustainable development, as well as the interconnection between them. The program provided an in-depth look at the SDGs 2030—covering their definitions, impact, and alignment with Vision 2030—while also showcasing Saudi Arabia’s progress toward achieving these goals. The participants also learned about sustainability reports, their importance, and how to develop reports that measure developmental impact.
