The Observatory Unit at the Astronomical Observatory in Hawtat Sudair has completed the preparation to sight Shawwal crescent according to Um Al-Qura Calendar.
The Observatory stated that based on the scientific calculations made by the Observatory on Thursday 29 Ramadan (20 April 2023), the sun will sunset in Mecca on Monday at 6:42 pm and the crescent at 7:04 pm.
The AO was set up by the university with the latest technology and settings for the purpose of sighting astronomical phenomena.
