The university's athletics team participated in the Saudi Universities Sports Federation Athletics Championship in its fourteenth season, which was hosted by King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dammam in the period 10/25-28/2023.
The university team won thirteenth place. The student Saleh Al-Saad snatched the silver medal in the hammer and fourth place in the discus throw. The student Muhammad Al-Qoud also won the seventh place in the 110 hurdles race.
The university team was represented by the following students: Saleh Al-Saad and Abdullah Omar Al-Marri from the College of Science, Ishaq Al-Hajj and Abdul Rashid Musa Al-Dawish from the College of Education in Zulfi and Abdullah Al-Tariqi, Muhammad Al-Fuhaid and Muhammad Al-Qaoud from the College of Business Administration, and Abdullah Al-Rabiah from the College of Engineering.
