The Deanship of Library Affairs at MU held the first media meeting on Saudi Unified Index which was associated with an introductory workshop on Thursday December 12, 2021.
Mr. Yasser Abdullah Al-Dahsh, head of administrative and financial department, represented the university in this event which aimed to introduce the strategic plan and goals of Saudi Unified Index.
The Saudi Unified Index features all Saudi libraries to be the most comprehensive tool for inventorying bibliographic records available for Saudi library, developing bibliographic control tools and generalizing their application at the highest levels. The Index also aims to develop electronic authority control tools within the library, and provide a variety of value-added services that meet the needs of participating libraries and the beneficiaries of their services.
