University football team began the Saudi Universities Football Championship with a victory over the cup holder in the last year's championship 1431/1432 scoring 2/1 in the match that was held in Qassim University playground on Thursday 1/1/1434. Abdullah Alomar and Bandar Alammar scored the two goals in the match. The university football team was represented by Walid Alghanim as a goalkeeper; Majed Al-otaibi, Ibrahim Almanna, AbdulIlah Alsabt, Suleiman Al-Mutairi as defensive players. In addition, Saud Alrabie, Nashi Almashqour, Ibrahim Alswainea, Abdullah Alomar played as midfielders. Abdullah Mukhalad and Bandar Al Amar were attackers. Saleh Almokheimar was a reserve player. Technically, Alhamidi Al-Otaibi was the national couch. At the administrative level, Mr. Nasser Ahanou, Mr. Abdulaziz Alkhalaf and Mr. Abdullah Al-Mutairi were supervisors.
The supervisor of sporting and scouting activities and supervisor of university teams Mr. Nasser Alhanou extended his thanks and appreciation to Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemeizi for his continuous follow-up of the different stages of preparation and everything related to supporting and meeting University team needs. Mr. Alhanou concluded his speech by offering his thanks to the university football players for their great efforts despite the shortage of players. However, those who played this match proved that enthusiasm together with good spirit solved the shortage problem.
His Excellency Dean of Students' Affairs Dr. Hamad Alghemeizi extended his thanks and appreciation to the University Rector for his continuous follow-up and constant support for all Deanship of Student Affairs activities and programs. He also congratulated the university football team (players and administrators) on this victory hoping to continue achieving victories in football championships.
