Rector launches International Anti-Corruption Day

University Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin received the president and members of the Friends of University Integrity Club.

The meeting began with the launch of the International Day Against Corruption campaign by a tweet from the account of the Deanship of Student Affairs, which read, “The fight against corruption is not confined to the official establishments of the state, but is a national and moral obligation that falls on every member of society regardless of their positions. To succeed in combating this phenomenon, all public and private institutions must be cooperating in supporting the official efforts in this regard”.

Dr. Khalid Al-Afisan, Chairman of the Board and Dean of Student Affairs, spoke about the activities and programs that will be launched after the launching of the activities of the International Day Against Corruption, including the publication of the words of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his faithful crown prince along with the distribution of awareness-raising brochures and billboards to the government departments frequented by large numbers of citizens to spread the culture of integrity and the fight against corruption.

Multiple visits to the Department of Investigation and Prosecution in Majmaah, Zulfi, Ghat and Rumah will be made, starting with the members of the club and then the students of the University.

A contest on the Deanship’s Twitter account concerning the most effective tweet about corruption will be held, in addition to activating the role of the colleges of the University to spread the culture of integrity and the fight against corruption.

The club president thanked the efforts of the Rector and Dean of Student Affairs in establishing integrity and fighting corruption.
