MU STUDENTS TO TAKE PART IN OUTLINING DEANSHIP OF STUDENT AFFAIRS’ PLAN

In preparation for the coming academic year, the Deanship of Student Affairs is conducting a survey on students’ opinion of the university’s activities for the next year. The survey – on Twitter- aims to elicit students’ feedback to outline the student activity’s plan for next year.
The survey focused on several topics such as essential activities, courses, programs, sports activities, student clubs.
The idea of allowing students to have their say about the plan was based on: a study of the programs’ strengths and weaknesses; the opportunities and challenges encountered to hold these activities; and the university’s vision and mission, all of which would contribute in fulfilling the university’s three functions: education, research and community service.
The dean, Dr. Khalid Al-Ofaisan, pointed out that the primary objective of the survey - conducted every year - is not only to improve the quality of activities and services provided to students, but also to fulfill the university’s strategic plan which implies that students should decide the necessary programs to develop their skills.
Dr. Al-Ofaisan also mentioned that the survey will allow the deanship to spot the strengths and weaknesses of the deanship’s plan and to learn further about the challenges facing the deanship.
The dean concluded his remarks by describing students as an indispensable factor for the success of the university along with the resources made available by MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren as well as the follow-up of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih.
