Deanship of Student Affairs Improves Its Female Employees in Catering Field

As the Deanship of Student Affairs is so keen to raise awareness of its employees and students at the level of surveillance and health and to improve the performance of the employees in the University and since the filed of catering and its facilities concern the University, the Deanship conducted a workshop “Health Control” for catering female supervisors in the University colleges in co-operation with health reinforcement. The workshop was held in Faculty of Education in Almajma’ah from 8/1/1435 to 10/1/1435 for three days 6 hours each. The workshop was presented by Mrs. Rana Barakat Alshaddi, a dietitian. On the first day, there was an introduction on the program and its contents as well as the objectives. Also, the rules of participating in it were identified about the concept , goals and nutritions. On the second day, the presentation was on the need of DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS, the reasons for resorting to them, their harmful components, the concept of diet, the concept of a healthy nutrition system , the factors that help to spread a malnutrition, the bad unhealthy habits and how to break them as well as raising awareness in general public health and healthy shopping. On the third day, the concept of the right ways for cooking was discussed in addition to general procedures for food safety, good food storing strategies in a refrigerator and the reasons of food poisoning. At the end of the program, everybody spoke about the benefits they gained from the program, then a tour was made to visit all cafeterias and restaurants of Faculty of Education to practice what has been just discussed. The program was very encouraging for everybody to do more great efforts in their position. Finally, everybody expressed their thanks to Deanship of Student Affairs for this workshop that broadened their horizon and developed some new ways. Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemeizi stressed that the Deanship is very keen to continuously develop the university staff skills specially the employees in catering field through these beneficial courses as this concerns the female and male students’ health. His Excellency emphasized that the University Rector is always keen to provide the best catering services to all university students.
