Almajmaah University Participates in International Journey Organized by the International Union of Muslim Scouts

 

Based on the approval of University Rector Dr. Khalid Saad Almuqrin, Almajmaah University participated with an official delegation from Deanship of Student Affairs in the fifth international journey for the exchange of visits and cultures among Saudi university students. The journey was organized by International Union of Muslim Scouts to visiti Kingdom of Morocco. The delegation was headed by his Excellency Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemaizi, and his Excellency vice Dean of Student Activities Mr. Khalid Ibrahim Alafaisan supervised the students.

The head of the delegation, his Excellency Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Alghemaizi explained that the journey included several scientific visits to a number of Moroccan universities, national libraries as well as some sightseeing and historical sites there. Also, it included a workshop entitled "Outstanding Youth: Distinguished and Talented" that encompassed several lectures of interest to Muslim youth and their role in confronting the challenges facing them in the light of globalization.

The next day, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, General Director of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) received the participating delegations and explained the objectives of the organization and its role in serving the Arab and Islamic world. The delegation also visited the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Kingdom of Morocco and was welcomed by the embassy attaché where they discussed several matters related to Saudi youth and their role in the Kingdom progress and advancement. Moreover, the delegation paid a visit to Hassan II University in Casablanca and was received by the President of the university. Then, the delegation visited the university library "Mohammed Alsaqqat", the most prominent in Casablanca.

On the last day, the chair of the delegation visited the National Library in Rabat which is the largest in the Arab world and Africa. Also, he visited Mohammed V AlSouissi University, the oldest in Morocco. In fact, the visit included a tour in Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering. Finally, it ended with a visit to the Scientific Center for Research in Rabat.

The student delegation was represented by Hani Alanzi (from Faculty of Medicine), Ahmed Aqeel (from Faculty of Business Administration), Ahmad Rashidi (from Faculty of Engineering), Abdullah Alsagyani (from Faculty of Sciences in Alzulfi) who expressed that they benefited a lot from the trip. They extended their thanks to the University Rector and Deanship of student Affairs for giving them the opportunity to participate and represent the University in this journey.

Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemaizi offered his thanks and appreciation to the University Rector Dr. Khaled Almuqrin for his constant support, encouragement and concerns with Deanship of Student Affairs that contributed to the development of programs, activities and services of Deanship. Also, Dr. Alghemaizi extended his thanks to the International Union of Muslim Scouts for implementing such programs that aim to making students of Islamic universities aware of the cultural advancement in the Islamic world countries, and it also contributes to strengthening ties among the Saudi university students.
