His Excellency, the Rector, Dr. Khaled bin Saad Al Muqrin met with the teaching staff of the University, at the closing of the training program for the new members, organized by the Deanship of quality and skills’ development in the university, which lasted for two days in order to define to the new member of teaching staff, the university, systems and facilities ,and to assist him in his adaptation in his new position ,and inform him with his rights and duties towards the university. And to be acquainted with the services offered to employees by the University in all university administrations.
The meeting of His Excellency, the Rector of the University with the teaching staff started with an introduction by His Excellency, Dean of the quality and skills development, Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Jarallah , in which he welcomed His Excellency, the Rector of the University for his honoring presence , and the university deputies and the deans of colleges for their attendance, and explained the objectives of the training program and its application period ,and the authorities helped to make it successful . And he reviewed the most important works done by the Dean and the possibilities that could be provided for the members teaching staff.
After this, His Excellency, the Rector delivered a speech in which he welcomed the new members of the teaching staff, and he mentioned some of the guidelines and general rules followed by the university in its dealings with the members of the teaching staff; the most important are justice, equality, transparency and clarity, while ensuring their rights, and the appreciation of loyal personnel dedicated to work, by ways that matches the values and principles of the university. He referred to some of the university plans in the academic and scientific research, study plans and the pursuit of the university to develop the skills, promote capacities, and to attract distinguished efficiencies. Then, everyone was allowed to ask questions. The Rector answered t the questions with all the clarity and transparency in all what it belongs to the teaching staff, and promised to overcome all the difficulties facing them and solve problems that might hinder their work. His Excellency clarified that all employees of the university, In spite of their different academic and administrative positions, representing one homogeneous , coherent and cooperative team seeking to achieve one goal which is raising the status and the progress of the university. The Rector praised the steps taken by the Deanship of quality and skills development in establishing and developing the quality system to the highest standards in the most ancient university, in line with the strategic plan for the University with a constant follow up by the Dean of the quality and skills development, Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Jarallah, who shall make concrete efforts in this area that deserves gratefulness and appreciation.
The meeting was attended by Deputy of University, Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Hugail, and deans of colleges and Deanships and directors of departments and faculty members from all the faculties of the university.
