In line with the university’s commitment to social responsibility and community support, the Vice-Rector for Development and Investment, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, launched the first community initiative for elderly women. The event was organized by the Social Responsibility Observatory, represented by the Center for Special Needs Services and the Center for Family and Childhood on campus.

During the launch, the Vice-Rector reviewed the initiative’s programs and activities, which were carefully designed to meet the needs of elderly participants—providing entertainment, education, and psychosocial support. The activities included:

  • Cultural competitions

  • Recreational activities

  • Handicraft workshops

  • Storytelling sessions reflecting seniors’ experiences and highlighting their role in society

The Vice-Rector praised the outstanding efforts and professional organization, underscoring the university’s dedication—through the Social Responsibility Observatory—to enhancing the quality of life for the elderly.

It is worth noting that the Center for Special Needs Services organized this initiative to improve the quality of life for elderly women—aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the university’s strategic plan for community service and development.
