A lecture by the Observatory on “Sign Language for Disabled Persons”

As part of the university’s interest into social responsibility to keep up with the Kingdom’s vision 2030 and to celebrate the International Day of Disabled Persons 2020, a lecture entitled “Sign Language for Disabled Persons” was delivered by the Disabled Persons Services Center at the Social Responsibility Observatory.

The lecture featured information about Deafness, hearing loss, the basics of using Saudi sign language, and the most important phrases in the life of a deaf person.

The lecture was translated into sign language.

 Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, the vice-rector and chairman of Social Responsibility Observatory Board, pointed out that such programs are conducted as part of the university’s pursuit to support disabled persons and overcome potential obstacles that may impede their engagement in achieving development plans’ requirements.

Prof. Al-Dosari extended his thanks to MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren for his support to all developmental initiatives.
