A lecture by the Observatory on “UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”

As part of the university’s interest into social responsibility to keep up with the Kingdom’s vision 2030 and to celebrate the International Day of Disabled Persons 2020, a lecture entitled “UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities” was delivered by the Disabled Persons Services Center at the Social Responsibility Observatory.

The aim of this lecture is to highlight the importance of keeping up with the UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to support them by allowing them to engage in all cultural, educational and sports activities.

Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, the vice-rector and chairman of Social Responsibility Observatory Board, pointed out that such programs are conducted as part of the university’s pursuit to support disabled persons and overcome potential obstacles that may impede their engagement in achieving development plans’ requirements.

Prof. Al-Dosari extended his thanks to MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren for his support to all developmental initiatives.
