CIFAL Saudi Arabia and “Ibtisam” Association organize Awareness Event on the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons - مركز سيفال السعودية وجمعية "ابتسام" ينظمان لقاءً توعويًا بمناسبة اليوم العالمي لمكافحة الاتجار بالأشخاص

In partnership with Ibtisam Association for Combating Human Trafficking, CIFAL Saudi Center organized an awareness event titled “Combating Human Trafficking: Shared Awareness and Responsibility”, on the International Day for the Elimination of Human Trafficking. The event emphasized the joint commitment to raising societal awareness about this serious crime.

The event brought together a distinguished group of academics, specialists, and stakeholders engaged in combating human trafficking. Participants discussed multiple key topics, including the conceptual and legal framework of human trafficking, its historical and regulatory analysis, and a focus on sexual trafficking from legal and social perspectives. The discussion also covered mechanisms for identifying victims and programs offering psychological and social rehabilitation and support.

Dr. Ayman Al-Barkati, Director of CIFAL Saudi Center, highlighted that this event reflects the center’s ongoing efforts to enhance community awareness and build strategic partnerships in combating human trafficking. He pointed out that these initiatives align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals to protect human rights, preserve individual dignity, and combat all forms of exploitation.

The participants agreed on key recommendations, including the importance of establishing strategic partnerships between academic institutions and relevant entities, expanding community-focused awareness initiatives, and strengthening victim protection and care programs in line with international standards and best global practices.
