The CIFAL Center at MU held a workshop entitled: (The Role of Awareness in Achieving Environmental Sustainability), in cooperation with the Environmental Awareness Initiative at the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Water.
The workshop aimed to highlight the different roles that can be played in achieving environmental sustainability.
A number of experts and specialists in the field of environment and sustainable development participated in the workshop and addressed many important topics related to raising awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and achieving environmental sustainability.
Topics discussed in the workshop also included the importance of education and awareness in achieving environmental sustainability and the role of public and private institutions and civil society in achieving goals and facing the challenges.
The director of the CIFAL Center, Dr. Ayman Al-Barakati, pointed out that the workshop was held within the framework of the Center’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness of sustainability, including the environment, and work to educate the public about the importance of protecting the environment, noting that further training programs in sustainable development are underway.
