The Director of University Presided the second meeting of University Council for the current academic year

On behalf of Minister of Higher Education, the Chairman of the University Council, The Director of University, Dr. Khaled bin Saad Al Muqrin Presided the second meeting of University Council for the current academic year 1432/1433H in meetings room at the office of HE Director of  the University. General Secretary of Higher Education Council, Dr. Mohamed bin  Abdul Aziz Al Salih attended the meeting (through visual conference), University Deputies, Colleges Deans, and Dean Assistants. University Deputy for Higher Studies and Science Research and  General Secretary His Excellency Dr. Mohsen bin Abdul Rahman Al Mohsen  declared that HE Director of the University opened the session submitting condolence to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, May Allah Protect Him, in his name and names of all council members and all the University Members to: the Royal Family;  loyal Saudi people for the death of HRH Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, HRH Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince praying to Allah to grant him mercy and forgiveness. Dr. Al Mohsen added that the Council will discuss subjects recorded in the agenda. He made some decisions and recommendations about these subjects. The most prominent subjects discussed was: the launch of the second stage of Program of Attracting Talents from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program. The second stage targets eastern Asia countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, India and Malaysia with the duration for admission of talents from  the first stage countries (USA, UK, Canada and Australia). It worth noting that the admissible number of first stage students was 52 male and female students. The council discussed the report of scholarship students number in the University. Their number reached more than 130 male and female student. More than 50% are in USA in some scientific specifications. The council agreed upon the executive regulations of Prince Salman Institution for Searches and Consulting Service at Majmaah University.  In additions, the council discussed some objectives concerning financial, administrative and academic subjects and appropriate decisions made for them.
