IN A CONSULTATIVE MEETING, HIS HIGHNESS LOOKS INTO A NUMBER OF REPORTS AND THE READINESS OF THE UNIVERSITY UNITS FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR

In a consultative meeting chaired by His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Bin Sa'ad Al-Mogren in his Office with the presence of Vice Rectors,Deans of Colleges and Deanships and Directors of Departments, His Highness initiated the meeting by welcoming all members and congratulated them on the occasion of the end of the academic year and what has been achieved of successes and achievements. He also noted that the objectives of the consultative meeting is to create an environment of exchanging views pertinent to important decisions at the university level and to figure out the latest developments at the university in the academic and administrative system in order to enhance the positives and address deficiencies. Then, the Secretary of the Meeting Mr. Thamer Al-Dogeish reviewed the agenda of the meeting as well as reviewing the previous meeting outcomes and what has been implemented. The Board also reviewed the preparations and the need of the Colleges, Deanships and the Departments for the coming academic year. His Highness the Rector stressed on the importance of the early preparations and providing all the needs for the next academic year. Dr. Mohammed Bin Nasser Al-Sweid, supervisor of the General Administration for Planning and Administrative Development presented the mechanism of forming the team of preparing the operational plan and the team of preparing the quarterly and final report. He also explained the general guidelines for building the operational plans for the university colleges and departments. After that, Dr. Omar Al-Sherufi, Dean of community service and continuing Education gave a presentation about some of the achievements pertinent to the Department of Community programs at the Deanship of Community Service particularly, the Certificate of Cambridge for computer and training software that ends by recruitment. All these issues and reports were discussed and comments were given. His Highness the Rector emphasized on the follow up of the implementation of the recommendations and evaluating them. At the end of the meeting, the Rector thanked everyone for their presence and their interaction.
