TAWA’AMA PROGRAM IS HELD BETWEEN THE COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND THE COLLEGE OF SCIENCES

Based on the directives of the Vice Rectorship for Academic Affairs to implement the Twinning Program between colleges to benefit from mutual experiences, develop academia in colleges and achieve the integration between them to finally accomplish the desired academic excellence, a Twining Program was launched between the College of Engineering and the College of Sciences. In this respect a coordination meeting between both colleges was held at the College of Sciences. The College of Engineering was represented by the Dean Dr. Abdullah Al-Abdul Kareem, the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Saleh Al-Dahash and the Vice-Dean for Quality and Development Dr. Abdullah Al-Muheisin as well as a number of programs and units’ coordinators at the College. The College of Sciences however was represented by Dr. Muhammad Al-Aboudi, Dean of the College, Dr. Wael Al-Triki, Vice-dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Suleiman Al-Saqabi, Vice-dean for Graduate Studies and Research in addition to several programs and units coordinators at the College. The meeting parties reviewed the activities of the various units and their plans at the College of Sciences and then visited the office of the Accreditation Unit and some central labs. The Twinning project focuses on several areas: exchange of scientific, educational and program implementation experience among colleges, identification of strengths and weaknesses and improvement of performance, raising academic performance in colleges to high quality and excellence at parallel levels. The project covers also student support programs, curricula, assessment, teaching excellence, Alumni Affairs, planning and development. This visit is the first phase in the implementation of the twining program between the College of Engineering and the College of Sciences.
