THE UNIVERSITY BOARD TO RECRUIT 87 TEACHING ASSISTANTS AND LECTURERS AND APPROVE A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Angari, Chairman of the university board, the 1st meeting of the academic year 1435/1436 was chaired by His Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren in the conference hall in his office. The meeting was attended by the General Secretary of Higher Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Saleh (via video conference), the university vice-rectors and deans of colleges and deanships. The university vice-rector for higher studies and academic research and the general secretary dr. Mohammad al-Shaya’a stated that His Excellency the Rector  welcomed all members and valued the support received from the government of this country. Regarding the admission and registration plan, the Rector described it as a successful one in which an enormous number of students were admitted in various majors in accordance with the required standards. The board has also discussed the issue of recruitment for a number of 87 of lecturers and teaching assistants in a number of fields. The board has also reviewed the final report of scholarship and training committee for the academic year 1434/1435 and praised the efforts exerted to help students. The board has approved the reformation of a number of committees including the scientific board, the permanent committee of teaching assistant and lecturers as well as the scholarship and training committee. A reference was also made to the recommendations made by the admission and registration deanship with regard to terminated students and how resolve their matters.  The board has endorsed the appointment of a new financial auditor along with an assistant for the upcoming three years. Eventually, the Rector directed the board members to pay more attention to the intellectual aspects of the students in the programs and activities provided to them.
