THE UNIVERSITY BOARD HOLDS THE THIRD MEETING AND ENDORSES A NUMBER OF ADMINISTRATIVE DECREES

On behalf of His Highness the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Angari, Chairman of the university board, His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren chaired the 1st meeting for the academic year 1434/1435 in the conference hall in his office. The meeting was attended by the General Secretary of Higher Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Saleh (via video conference), the university vice-rectors and deans of colleges and deanships. The university vice-rector for higher studies and academic research and the general secretary dr. Mohammad al-Shaya’a stated that His Highness the Rector welcomed all members. The board members congratulated His Excellency the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren the extension for a new term.

Dr. Al-Mogren stressed the importance of proceeding the same approach employed by the University beside doubling the efforts and exploiting the support provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

In the meeting, a number of issues were discussed including the recommendations issued by the committee of scholarship and training during the period from 23/11/1434 to 2/12/1434, the approval of hiring a number of faculty members in various majors and the approval of curriculum for Dentistry College in Zulfi.

The establishment of an administration for scholarship for non-Saudi was discussed and approval was granted by the board to proceed the remaining procedures in accordance with the rules and regulations pertinent to the matter.

Approval was also issued to hire (36) teaching assistants and (17) lectures in various fields at the University. The board also endorsed a number of administrative issues related to the University staff as well as academicians.
