20250804812Under the patronage of His Excellency the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren, a ceremony was held at the campus to launch the College of Computer and Information. The ceremony was attended by the vice-rectors and deans of colleges and deanships.
The rhetoric ceremony included a speech delivered by the Dean of Computer Science & Information Dr. Hisham Al-Saqeer who welcomed the audience and extended his thanks to the Rector for his constant follow-up and support. He also talked about the objectives of the college which could be summarized in providing high quality education to students with an eye on the market demands. He added that the college is always working on achieving the criteria of quality and academic accreditation.
A documentary film was shown about the stages of the college establishment followed by the representative of experts Prof. Redah Ammar, Head of Computer Science and Information who expressed his admiration with the development of the university.
Addressing the audience, His Excellency the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren extended his thanks to the experts who contributed with value and substance in the establishment of the college. He added that the college should select the faculty members carefully in a way that serve the needs of the college.
Eventually, a contract was signed with Cisco Company which is specialized in network. Another contract with also signed with Microsoft Company specialized in operating system and programing languages. A third contract with signed with Oracle company specialized in Database and the internet application.
