20250804812A meeting was held at the engineering college for the dean with faculty members and students. The meeting is reflecting the concern of the college about providing the support and academic advising as overcoming all students obstacles. The dean of college Dr. Fahad Al-Salamah delivered a speech where he welcomed the faculty members and students on the occasion of the new academic year. He mentioned that the success of the college can merely be attained via a mutual cooperation between students and faculty members. He encouraged students to gain more skills in addition to the academic skills, most importantly: communication skills, time management etc. which will have a great deal of impact on their personality. He also mentioned that the college is still working on the academic accreditation which will benefit students on the long term.
A session of Q&A was held to discuss issues related to students among which is the duration of exam, attendance of lectures and the availability of books & references in all engineering fields. The dean commented that books and reference are of paramount significance to the education process and the university is seriously attempting to provide students with all the necessary references for their education. The dean also stressed that students have the right to choose the major that suit their interested and ability. Other issues were discussed like the summer semester and the lab of the college. At the end, thanks and appreciation were extended by the dean for this event and called upon everyone to keep on participating in such events and activities.
