The Student Activity Unit is responsible of providing care to students and involved with the extracurricular activities (e.g. culture, sports, arts).
Goals:
- Introduce Islamic values and teachings and manifest them in real life.
- Develop an integrated personality in students
- Highlight the country’s resources and preserve them
- Practice scientific thinking skills
- Strengthen the relationship between students and both staff and faculty members
- Strengthen bonds among students.
- Practice self-learning skills in more than one way.
- Appreciate arts and aesthetics
- Participate in solving problems facing the unit.
- Utilize spare time in a useful manner.
Tasks:
- Prepare the general plans of student activities in all fields
- Plan different programs during semesters
- Write special memos of student activities and programs
- Write letters of activities and reply the inquiries of other departments.
- Prepare the public budget of student activities
- Follow-up the programs at the center level
- Evaluate activity executive directors’ performance
- Study the submitted student activity reports and a recommendation is made accordingly
- Conduct regular meetings with activity supervisors, if necessary
- Organize and update records, data and statistics related to activities
- Determine the needs of student activity units and a coordination is made with the central administration.
- Prepare flyers and publications related to student activities
- Provide developmental suggestions for student activities
- Supervise the student services.
- Contribute in providing encouraging prizes for outstanding students.
- Utilize students’ spare time
- Host prominent figures in culture and literature to deliver lectures and seminar to hone students’ skills
- Undertake any task assigned to the unit
