At the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Majmaah University, the community activities focus on spreading the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship and empowering people to contribute to economic and social development through creative ideas and projects. These activities are motivating, educational, and interactive, targeting different groups within the local community. The community activities usually include: Workshops and training courses: They offer workshops and courses in innovation, idea generation, feasibility studies, business model building, digital marketing, basics of entrepreneurship, and startup management. These are for students, graduates, small and medium business owners, and anyone interested in improving their skills. Lectures and awareness seminars: Public talks and seminars were conducted with reexperts and successful entrepreneurs who share their experiences and knowledge. These events aim to inspire attendees, raise awareness about the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship, and highlight available opportunities. Events and idea incubators: Events like “idea hackathons” or “innovation camps” were held where people interested in innovation come together to solve social or economic challenges with creative ideas. Idea incubator programs were also conducted to help promising ideas grow into real projects. Consulting and mentoring: The Center provides advice and guidance to individuals and small to medium businesses in starting and developing their projects. This includes help with planning, funding, marketing, and management. Participation in exhibitions and community events: The Center takes part in local exhibitions and events to showcase the center’s initiatives, connect with the community, and encourage people to adopt the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. Launching community initiatives: The Center may start initiatives that target specific groups, such as supporting women entrepreneurs or encouraging innovation in sectors that serve local needs. Building partnerships with community organizations: The Center forms partnerships with government bodies, non-profit organizations, and the private sector to expand the impact of the community activities and achieve shared goals in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.
