Chairman Message

Department of Chemistry in Faculty of science and human studies  is an academic department with a  systematic study, not affiliation. The aim of the department is to prepare the student to be a scientist and teacher for different branches of chemistry through the study of several specialized courses over the four years and get the degree of Bachelor of Science and Education in Chemistry. The student is provided with a number of scientific material assistance such as computer and mathematics to serve the relations between science and the study of several different materials, religious, linguistic and educational materials to enable the students after graduation to perform the functions of research and teaching on the basis of valid educational

The Department Message

Department of Chemistry seeks to excellence in education by providing sophisticated methods in basic branches of chemistry enables the student to acquire basic and advanced knowledge and skills needed to compete as professionals in the labor market. The department aspires to provide different degrees such as master degrees and diplomas, which will contribute to solving the problems of society on the foundations of modern scientific and scientific programs as well as providing rich information and skills

The Department Vision

Department is considered as  institution of higher education committed to keep on treating excellence in creativity and dissemination of knowledge in the field of chemistry, both academic and applied. Based on this vision, it is a goal of the department is to provide a scientific environment collaborated with students and faculty members in teaching and learning, as well as research, allowing them to work together as responsible members and participants in community development and motivation essential for economic growth for the Kingdom.

Department of Chemistry is working on improving the systems inside it to achieve its objectives and ensure the effectiveness of educational programs in a sustainable manner. Accordingly, the overall objectives of the section are:

1. Graduate qualified scientists armed with science, knowledge and skills appropriate to the nature of field work
2. Provide qualified human resources to meet the need of the Kingdom in various fields of chemistry.
3. Continue to develop approaches to make learning and teaching at the level of high quality.
4. Develop strategic plans to the department and its development to attract new students or graduates at the highest level and through the provision of educational programs based on the needs of the labor market.
5. The department aims to develop and progress in the distinct area of ​​research by relying on members of the faculty and promote a culture of scientific research to support all that is distinctive. Addition to working on the best investment for scientific research for the benefit of community development at the local, national and regional levels.
