Workshop Held @ Faculty of Engineering

The advising committee at the college of Engineering, Majmaah held a workshop titled "Points of excellence and student advising in academic specialties"; the workshop was inaugurated with the college Dean, Dr. Fahd Al-Turki and Departments Chairmen/Coordinators and all teaching and academic staff members. After an introductory short speech by the college Dean about the importance of orientation and advising about different departments and areas of specializations, Dr. Abdel rahman Alqawasmi, the head of the committee, explained different aspects of the Points of excellence program for students and provided many guiding and advising materials for students about different programs and plans within the college and showed how the advising process is transparent and fair to all students. Different Department Chairmen/coordinators introduced their departments and highlighted different opportunities and challenges in each program. The workshop then ended with an open question and answer session were several questions were raised by all students.
