THE UNIVERSITY FINISHES THE PREPARATION FOR THE NEW OBSERVATORY SITE IN HAWTAT SUDAIR

 

The General Administration of Operation and Maintenance at MU in cooperation with the Astronomical Observatory in Hawtat Sudair has completed the construction work and equipment required at the new headquarter for astronomical monitoring in Hawtat Sudair province.
 
The construction works included the completion of the procedures concerned with allocating the site, the pavement of the 11-km road leading to the new site; fencing the site and preparing it for observation. 
 
The Administration has also completed the construction of the concrete rooms through casting outside the site, transporting the molds and then casting them at the site by a construction company. 
 
In this regard, Dr. Mosallam Al-Dosari- MU. Vice-Rector- said that the accomplishment of this work within this short period in the holy month of Ramadan would not have been done without the ongoing support of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin, of the project. 
 
Dr. Al-Dosari also referred to the considerable efforts made by the Administration in the successful completion of the project in such a short period.
