PMO CONDUCTS A WORKSHOP ON DIGITAL WAREHOUSE CONSTRUCTION FOR THE UNIVERSITY RESEARCH

A workshop was held jointly between the Project Management Office (PMO) and the Deanship of Scientific Research (DSR) on the theme “ Construction of Digital Warehouse for the University’s Research”.
The workshop was launched by the Supervisor of PMO, who stressed the necessity of constructing the digital warehouse to meet the requirements of the Kingdom vision 2030.
The workshop focused mainly on the proposal submitted by the PMO on how to construct a digital warehouse for the university research. The following topics were addressed in the workshop :
Pioneering research of faculty staff: these include the papers published in peer-reviewed journals (ISI/SCOPUS)
Non peer –reviewed research: these include papers published in non-peer-review journals
Research papers presented in conferences and seminars in or off the university
Books authored by faculty staff
Course materials: this include the books authored by faculty staff for educational and academic purposes
MA and PhD thesis and graduation projects for undergrad students
Photos and drawings made by the university for research purposes such as astronomical observatory.
Prof. Mohammed Al-Shaye, vice-rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, extended his thanks to the Vice-Rector’s Office and all sub-departments for their unfailing role in collaborating with other departments of the university to achieve the strategic goals set by the university.
Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, vice-rector, said such a project is vital for the development of scientific research, on one hand, and the integration of the technical system, on the other hand.
